Here’s what One Housing Group has to say on the WiFi scheme in their press release:
One Housing Group has today announced it is launching a free Wi-Fi service to help residents improve their social mobility.
The London-based group will provide the service at its Chalk Farm head office and selected supported housing schemes.
The programme, called ‘OneWiFi’, will allow its customers to access free Wi-Fi starting with 15 schemes coming online this financial year. Next year will see the service rolled out to an additional 40 accommodation-based schemes.
Alan Newson, Head of Technical Service at One Housing Group, said: “Free Wi-Fi in our One Support schemes will allow customers to feel more socially included. The security settings are ‘child friendly’ so customers can use the hotspots in a safe and responsible way.”
Martin D’Mello, Assistant Director Housing Services at One Housing Group, added: “Customers will be able to connect with family and friends via email and other social networks, access jobs, training and employment opportunities through OneWiFi. It will be a fantastic added benefit for our customers.”
The WiFi will be delivered through an ADSL connection and is accessed with a user ID and password which can be requested from the reception staff or One Support scheme managers.
